What is a trip?
Where are we going? What are we looking for? Usually escape. From what? The shit we have to deal with in our every day lives. Entertainment offers of a distraction, but when you’re looking for something beyond the norm, we - as in humans - have since the beginning of our existence - used drugs to explore the nature of reality. What’s up with that?
There’s a lot to be said for what happens when you do experiment with some of the substances. There’s a lot of perspective to be gained. At the same time, there are risks and they can be dangerous and bad for your health. We’re all aware of that and it’s to each his own there. Please live your life responsibly. I am not advocating for drug abuse. But the point of this is that humans do these drugs and we don’t know much about some of them, ironically enough. We just know they have a way of opening up the mind. Taking us somewhere else. Our consciousness. Deeper into ourselves maybe? Or even into other dimensions. We could get pretty creative with this pretty fast, but I really find that there are lots of different drugs out there and they do such different things for those that use them, its really worth a bit of a discussion about the differences. The good one’s and the bad ones. Some are just negative. They lead to bad things… like really bad. Addiction, ruined lives… entire wars start over the trafficking of these really predatory substances and how people traffic and pilfer their fellow man with their biological power. It’s truly dangerous stuff to mess around with. Then, there’s this other stuff, that seems pretty harmless when you step back. Pot… I mean, are we not finally over this big scare tactic. Alcohol’s so much worse. I’d put it on one of the most ironic substances in our human history. But we don't like to be told what to do as people. Make it illegal, we want it more. So there’s an interesting psychological trick to this subject and we need to be aware of it’s complexities.
