I actually think this is a good thing. We are in the middle of the great leveling of the boarders civilization has grown for thousands of years. More than ever before, thanks to the internet, the cultural boundaries are falling, and information is flowing more freely, which does mean progress. Yet, like so much of human history, it’s not exactly what many people want, and it’s not always a straight line. More like four steps forward, three steps back… some would say five… but that’s okay.

In the end, history marches on, and the enviable benefits of technology vastly improve our civilization and human condition. It just can take a while for the good to be sort of felt by everyone. Therein lies the economics of today. Where is the science leading us, the innovations that make the market?
